The annual Derby Day Ride hosted by Rudy and Phyllis Woosley was held
at their farm near Caneyville, Ky. on May 3-5, 2019. The weatherman had forecast a wet weekend and this may have kept a few folks away, but there were
plenty of regulars who brought their teams and wagons ready to ride on both Friday and Satuday. As is usual for this event, there was plenty of delicious
food to eat both for breakfast and for supper which meant that no one had to worry about cooking their own meals. In addition, Rudy had arranged for Don Hayes
from Missouri to be on hand each evening to provide entertainment. Don is a wonderful singer who seems to know every country/western golden oldie and
really does a great job of keeping eveyone entertained. It turned out that the weatherman was a little off on his prediction. We had some overnight rain on
Thursday night and, while it was cloudy almost the entire time we were riding, the only other real rain we received was for the last 30 minutes of the Saturday
ride when a shower came through as we were heading back to the farm. I'm certain that everyone had a great time as you can see in the photos.
